The CyberUp Campaign Submits to the Government’s consultation on embedding standards in the cyber security industry

The CyberUp Campaign has submitted to the Government’s call for information on embedding standards in the cyber security industry.

The response makes the argument for why reforming the Computer Misuse Act will provide more legal certainty for cyber security professionals, arguing that Computer Misuse Act reform will be a core enabler of the Government’s ambition to widen the diversity of the UK’s talent pool and address the remaining skills shortage, and that the proposals for professionalisation support a consistent application of a statutory defence – as the CyberUp Campaign is calling for.
